Creative Direction
Creativity flows.
Throughout my work on Labyrinth Magazine, I was the creative director for over a dozen of photoshoots.
Each photoshoot conveys a different message about love, relationships, friendships and heartache, through the eyes of people of color.

It all begins with an idea.
When it comes to creative direction, once I have an idea in my head, I won’t stop until I feel like I’ve executed it perfectly. Call me a perfectionist.

From my mind.
Creative direction requires collaboration. Once an idea formed, I worked with our team of models, and our photographer, Tice Glaeser, to execute my vision.
Things weren’t always perfect, but trial and error, and input from everyone on the team, is how we made an idea, a reality.

Attention grabbing.
Would you believe me if I told you this photoshoot, which ended up being the cover of Labyrinth’s first edition, was shot in the living room of my college apartment?
As a student, my budget wasn’t unlimited. We had to work with the space we had. It goes to show that you don’t need the fancy lights and a massive studio to make beautiful art.
